Welcome to this short video on using VerbalCare for patient therapy compliance. VerbalCare is a powerful new communication tool designed to efficiently connect providers and patients to promote better outcomes and lower costs. Patients access the tool through an app available on Apple or Android devices. Providers can invite patients to download the app through email or via a text message.

Providers can access the VerbalCare landing page from any major web browser. The VerbalCare landing page gives providers access to tools designed to improve patient outcomes. VerbalCare can help promote patient compliance in a variety of ways, including instantly connecting with patients about their prescribed therapy, reminding patients of their physician compliance visit, confirming that the patient is satisfied with the medical equipment, like a CPAP mask or infusion device, and quickly responding to patient equipment or product inquiries.

Therapy Manager allows the provider to automate communication with patients and caregivers, including what should be sent and when it should be sent. The plan can include compliance reminders and upcoming appointments, as well as customized patient surveys, like if their mask is fitting well or if they're feeling the benefits of the therapy.

The provider can also send videos and documentation related to the patient's therapy to support treatment progress. This type of communication is similar to the way a respiratory therapist would reach out to a CPAP patient, or a nutritionist would reach out to a patient receiving enteral therapy. But with VerbalCare, it's all handled electronically and automatically. This means patient issues could be resolved quickly and thoroughly, which helps improve compliance and helps ensure maximum reimbursement for the provider.

Here's what VerbalCare looks like from the provider's perspective when they log into the platform. Therapy Manager handles sending communications to patients automatically. But if the provider chooses, they can send an inquiry or question directly to a specific patient by first selecting the inquiry they want to send, and then assigning that inquiry to the patient or multiple patients at the same time. Once they click Assign, the inquiry is sent through the VerbalCare app, and the patient receives a notification letting them know that action is needed.

Now, here's what VerbalCare looks like from a patient's perspective. Registration is easy and straightforward. They simply enter basic information, first name, last name, date of birth, and are then matched to the correct provider. The process also attaches the patient to an assigned Therapy Manager plan. Here's what that patient notification looks like.

In this case, the provider has sent a sleep therapy compliance survey. The patient will then answer a series of questions customized by the provider. ♪ [music] ♪ When the answers are received back to the provider, because some of the answers triggered an exception, a red icon signals that a follow-up is required on the provider's screen.

The provider can review the inquiry themselves or assign the task to another staff member. The staff member can now read the patient responses and will see the exception icon attached to the question that needs attention. They now determine what the most appropriate next step is to ensure patient compliance and continue providing the patient with exceptional care.

Once the issue has been addressed, the provider can mark the issue as complete and move on to the next patient.
